About the Author

David J. Hamilton

A writer’s resume must include a certain taste of whimsy, grit – and misdirection.

David J. has wandered the Great White North collecting tales of (mis)adventure, sadness, and manic frivolity in his time as a chef de cuisine. Though modern kitchen warfare taught him countless valuable (and painful) lessons, he never lost that deep-seeded sense of wonder.

He never forgot how to ask: what if …?

Educated by the sternest grammarians and literary luminaries the Saskatoon Public School system had to offer, Hamilton learned to combine his own uniquely punchy style of prose with the pressures of the fine-dining atmosphere – and ultimately earned his Interprovincial Journeyman Red Seal accreditation by foregoing traditional means and simply challenging the final qualification exam.

Thus, diamonds are forged.

He continues to practice his respective trades from his home in the southern Kootenay Mountains – where inspiration is everywhere ….

… and the calamity of wonder never ceases to amaze ….
